Can't add non local user to share

On Zack's excellent Vista Knowledge Base under Sharing files and folders in Vista it says
"You can type in users on another computer as well, so if Bob on "laptop3" wanted to access, you can type in LAPTOP3\Bob (so the computer name, backslash then username). "
I have tried this multiple times on multiple machines (currently have 3 Vista beta2 machines up in a wired workgroup). It so far hasn't worked for me, is there something I'm missing?

It seems that sharing in Beta 2 is slightly broken apparently. Sorry :o(

I'm almost glad it's broken, at least I know I wasn't missing something obvious :)
